If Spartans could jump in this game, although atypical if not never before seen in a top down shooter, then we'd likely see some crazy things going on.

With no jump capability, I think Halo loses a lot of depth. What could be more fun than jumping off a cliff and getting the jump (mind the pun) on a bunch of Grunts?
