Doesn't sound much like a gas giant or even a planet that could be mistaken for one.
What about another planet in the same system? That makes more sense than a planet that was mistaken for a gas giant.
Just how do you confuse a 4G rocky planet for a gas giant? It would have around 4 times the mass of earth - it's probably more dense but let's ignore that. lets assume it has 4 times the volume of Earth.
Given that V = 4/3 Pi R cubed and 4/3 Pi is on both sides - I assume that the cube of Te's radius is about 4 times the cube of Earth's - does that make sense?
So Te's radius would be about 1.5 times Earths radius. That is pretty small compared to a gas giant. Maybe it could be mistaken for a gas midget. :-)
