In Response To: Re: Second Class Q & A (TDSpiral)

: 1.) What are you planning to do with this film (storywise or other) to make it stand out from all the other Halo fan films/live-action shorts?
: 2.) Making a Halo fan film can be a risky endeavor, and many projects with similar goals sometimes end up fizzling out due to overambitious expectations. What are your plans to make sure that you are able to realize your vision?

1. Second Class aims to answer a few inconsistencies that 343i/Bungie haven't gotten around to answering. The main issue is with Class-II Spartan-IIs (hence the name.) They exist in the Halo canon and yet they remain a mystery. Also what about all the unnamed Spartans from Reach? These questions will be answered in Second Class (of course fan theory.) SC is being different than other fan films for a few reasons. One is that it's full CGI. Most of the time in the fan films things such as props, acting, etc aren't exactly "accurate" with what's been officially established. Not saying their bad, fans don't have a big budget like Forward Unto Dawn did. But by making it full CGI, we can make the weapons, creatures, etc accurate to the series. Also what will set it apart is the storyline. Most Halo fan fiction doesn't fit with the Halo canon (with some exceptions like Fistfull of Arrows of course.) The story is trying to fit within the canon in the extreme of chance that 343i wanted to make it canon.

2. This is a serious issue with most fan projects. This one however is easily fixed due to it being in CGI. Live action fan films might go under due to scheduling conflicts, funding, and people dropping out of the project. Since its in CGI it can be worked on at any time and requires little funding. Though a donation effort, such as Indiegogo, might be made so computer equipment can be bought to increase work and productivity of the project.

I hope this answers your questions. Feel free to ask any more.
