These are new armor mods, there is also a new tactical ability (are those really what they're called? I can't remember...) called Resistor. Here is an article that talks about it:

"More information was revealed about the new tactical ability Resistor as well as the 2 new armor mods Survivor and Rejector. The Resistor ability allows players to retain full sprint while being shot “for a few moments”. With Sprint already being a point of contention for a number players, the Resistor ability is sure to add more fuel to the argument. Players who purchase the Champions Bundle will have early access to the Resistor Ability for an undetermined amount of time.

The Survivor mod automatically ejects players before a vehicle is about to explode. By having Survivor equipped, players would be able to avoid the insta-kill explosion when riding in a vehicle. The Recharge mod when equipped will decrease the time it takes for a player’s shields to charge. Unlike the Resistor mod, all players in the Halo 4 community will be granted access shortly before Aug. 20th"
