Meh.

To me, Forerunner work because they're mythic. Reading Cryptum brought to mind Beowulf, and Silentium was excellent because it seemed to touch upon the Terminals in Halo 3.
More Forerunner fiction, without the leadup? I'd probably go through it and wonder "Why haven't we heard of this before?"
