Isn't that kinda what Frankie does at 343i? It would have been nice to have known that a small group, 1 person from the main areas of creating the game such as art/animation etc, broke off and joined 343i to help with maintaining the integrity of what makes Halo, Halo. (has that kinda happened?) All in all though, I've enjoyed everything released so far and it all feels largely like Halo. I just don't care for many of the new character's and how the present time frame in the Haloverse is being guided story wise. I would rather see some novel's that are similar to Greg Bear's Forerunner trilogy rather than comics trying to redeem a certain infamous S-IV.

As far as movies go... There is plenty of creative room for something such as the Human/Forerunner war. Greg Bear's books only lay down a couple general and somewhat vague facts for the war, besides the conclusion to it. Would love to see that told over a span of several movies like the LotR trilogy. Plus there is plenty of creative room for a writer to leave his own mark on the Haloverse.
