: I just read it again and it doesn't reference the difficulty level. Also the
: first time you find a terminal in Halo 4 Cortana says something about how
: she'll store the data in it and analyze it later.
It doesn't reference the difficulty level in any sort of metagame, but some of the messages are different depending on which one you're playing.
: munky-058: Yeah, maybe they could've put them on the second disk, maybe at
: least let us download them and watch them from a menu in Halo 4? Overall I
: think this game just should've waited, it should've been on the next
: console so it would be handled better and the devs would have more time.
: Quirel: What's wrong with that? Puppet shows used to get a lot more respect.
: It's funny actually, the way puppet shows have gone is the opposite of how
: video games have gone.
A AAA videogame is the equivalent of a Hollywood blockbuster; it's not more or less valuable than, say, live theatre, but it's got a different set of expectations. The motion comics in the middle of this glorious graphical presentation is jarring. And . . . crappy. A puppet show is interesting for a lot of reasons; somebody made those by hand, it's a live performance, it's probably something that the performer wrote. A motion comic is like somebody wanted to make a cartoon but couldn't afford to, so they settled for paper cutouts. I wouldn't mind if they actually animated them, although I, perhaps out of nostalgia, prefer the text-based terminals.
