What concerns me...

In Response To: PGCR: Halo 4 Gun Game -- Comments (serpx)

...is that if the modding community can do this, it's got to be pretty easy for 343 to do it too. So why don't we have these gametypes already?

I spent hours creating a soccer map on Impact for a Haloball gametype because I was sure that they'd be putting out the "missing" gametypes soon after launch. I guess I had to much faith in 343. Hell, I can't even fake a scoring system like I did with my Skeeball map before we got the insane gametype in Reach.

I usually spend my summer break forging like crazy. I haven't forged a single thing so far. Maybe I fall into a very small niche, but I completely feel neglected as a forger in H4. I spent years pushing Reach's forge to the limit and was always rewarded by finding new ways to create interesting minigames and awesome maps. After a few weeks I lost almost all interest in H4's forge.

I really hope that the new Ricochet gametype will be more like an "Insane" gametype with options to let us define what the scoring object is rather than only letting the oddball be the scoring object. That could really open up the possibilities for a forger like me.

Sorry for the rant. I guess I never did rant early on because I just assumed that 343 would fix forge after launch. Pushing 9 months!
