Ricochet is Halo 4 Grifball with an additional scoring option: the ability to throw the ball into a goal instead of having to carry it in.
Yes, classic Grifball was based on Assault, but Ricochet resembles Halo 4 Grifball more than any other game type. For example, in Assault you can neither throw the bomb nor score by throwing the bomb into a goal.
Assault is dead.
