So, in preparation for abandoning the Xbox ship (keeping my 360, but won't be sailing any seas on the Xbox-C, unless one of its sails happen to be a seaquel to Halo Wars. There's only been one RTS, but almost a COD's worth of FPS games) I registered an account on PSN (preordered the PS4 after E3, only current Sony device I own is a PS2).

I then proceeded to M2AF and post 'hey, you can add me on PSN' on the interwebs. All seemed to be going fine until a friend who actually has and uses his PSN account told me he couldn't add me. Viewing the link in my Portable ID (fun fact: some jackass already plucked 'kornman00' apparently, so I'm stuck with the Double O status) leads to a page claiming I don't have a profile yet.

So he tells me to try adding him instead. So I go to My Friends page only to find the following note/text:

"Note: It is not currently possible to chat online with your friends, or add friends to your Friends List, from PlayStation.com."

"You don't have any friends in your list yet. Time to use your PS3™ or PSVita System to find some and add them." (remember, don't own anything past a PS Deux yet)

You have got to be kidding me, right? Silly Sony.

IDK if Xbox.com had this at launch, but you've been able to manage friends (and message, but who cares) on the internet for several years now instead of having to boot your device.

It's like being sweet talked by a recruiter that this other ship is so much better and faster and not full of junk, but when you get there the dazzle in your eye is cleared after seeing that not only is the ship not full of junk (eg, ads), but its not full with much of anything. Guess all that 'extra' stuff was/would have weighed it down. Or would require an extra 100$ per device.

Damned if I do, damned if I don't. Where the fuck is the 'just-right' porridge? And don't anyway even utter the words 'Wii-U', because the three bears threw that out before they even made the dinner table.
