Visualizing the Halo Universe
Round 13: Ancients

Remember, feedback on artwork is appreciated and encouraged.

Last week we had some excellent Brute submissions, but this time we're once again rolling back the clock to a far more ancient subject...

Subject:

Forerunner Capital

Specification:

- It's a good idea to include some known reference for scale

Source:

Halo: Cryptum
Halo 4

Secondary Sources:

Halo: Primordium
Halo: Silentium

Details:

One of the largest Forerunner installations in existence, the capital functioned as the central hub for all politics and economics in the Forerunner ecumenic. Spiral-shaped, the capital was composed of a series of circular platforms which decreased in size towards either end of a central rod. Each of these platforms was home to a massive city, with the largest being 100,000 kilometers in diameter, located towards the center of the rod. When under attack, the capital was capable of rotating its sections to form a spherical shape, protecting them from outside. Bornstellar was witness to this defensive capability firsthand, as he was present for Mendicant Bias's assault on the capital.

Extra Credit:

Depict in both regular and 'defensive' states

Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! Remember you have two weeks to submit your entries.

And feel free to let your friends know about Visualizing the Halo Universe! The more people participate, the more great artwork we all get to enjoy!
