Consumer: "Hey, no one should be upset because at least they are warning us in advance."
Just because they warn us in advance, doesn't make them any less of an asshole. Instead they should make a product that has nothing super wrong with it that they have to warn you about.
Progress is about just that.... Progress. They shouldn't be telling people to buy the old system, they should be giving us reasons to buy the new one.
And in my analogy, I wouldn't want a brand new Samsung Galaxy S4 if I knew that there was going to be someone on the other end listening to my phone calls while wearing a headset. I think the whole "At least they warned us" argument is the wrong one. It's not addressing the real problem, and is instead stepping out of the way of it.
