...the last franchise he helped with. And let's all hope beyond all holies that he doesn't invite the director from those movies over to this project. (Who would of thought that you could make a movie about cool robots punching each other one of the most cringe-inducing experiences of one's life? Why are the robots better actors than the humans???)

Sorry, I haven't enjoyed a Spielburg project since the 80's (though I haven't seen Lincoln). Since then, my brain kinda pinpoints him as the epitome of over-rated, spoon-fed, feel-good academy award winners. When it was pulp stories in the past, his approach his fun, when it's the Holocaust... no thanks.

Even if you do like the guy, I don't understand why should you be excited he's involved with a Halo TV series... Wouldn't we have been much happier if we found out somebody who was passionate about Halo and had a brilliant idea for a show was involved?

It just seems like 343i doing one of their Marvel comics or Halo 4 - where they hired people with awards and a name, instead of the talented fans with ideas. They may end up with a quality product some of the time, but odds are they won't be getting an experience that actually does "Halo" justice.

Eh, don't listen to me, I'm just a grumpy old man. Maybe it was just the forced introduction that turned me off.
