I am so utterly underwhelmed though. and I didn't even go into that full of excitement.
I mean, kudos to them for actually showing the console, makes Sony's little diversion yesterday look all the more silly, but on the flip side we didn't exactly see much in the way of games.
Only thing shown which was definitely in-engine on Xbox One hardware was... Call of Duty.
The aftermath reports are also coming out now which apparently reveals the following:
- Not backwards compatible at all for games or Xbox Live purchases.
ie, Xbox Classics, Xbox 360 and Xbox Arcade games will NOT work on it at all.
- Entertainment content will transfer.
- Console will not function without Kinect connected.
- Xbox One WILL support trading and resale of games. But with "policies"

More than anything though, this whole reveal focused on features I already have, or will not be able to access through the console.
For example, my room is actually too small to use Kinect properly and most of that TV stuff which took up the first 20 minutes won't even work properly in the UK.
I mean, is the UK version going to have an integrated Sky+ box with two digital coaxial inputs? No? Then I'd have to plug my Sky box into the Xbox and what would it achieve? At the most, voice controls and a different looking GUI.
I dunno... fortunately, I wasn't planning on buying either a PS4 or Xbox One until late 2014 at the earliest.
As it stands, I don't even really feel like I'll be missing out on much either, which is honestly a bit sad.
