Gameplay idea for Halo 5 *SP I guess*

So I've been hitting up Halo 1 recently and just finished Silentium (at least this book was good, unlike the previous 2) - it got me thinking about our dear friends - the Flood.

Assuming they return for the next instalment (as they're pretty key to the overarching storyline now in my opinion), I'm hoping 343i expand upon the Flood and make them a bit more interesting as enemies.

It's stated a few times in the games/books that the Flood gain intelligence as they gather bodies and start forming a Gravemind etc. etc.

So - what do people think about curved Flood AI for Halo 5?

I.e. - you find 1 combat form on its own. It's behaviour is dictated solely by its base desire (to absorb you into the Flood) - it charges you looking to get into CQC.

Next scenario - you find multiple combat forms, infection forms etc. - perhaps this time, the infection forms charge you whilst the combat forms hang back, perhaps some run in etc. The combat forms will still be pretty careless - perhaps some won't have the advanced intelligence to even reload their weapons.

Taking it on even further, if the battle starts moving you closer to a Gravemind (or Proto) then the Flood start getting more intelligent as well - perhaps the combat forms start taking cover when you approach, picking up new weapons based on their surroundings, moving to higher ground etc.

Thoughts?

Basically - I'm bored of fighting an enemy that hasn't really become any more fun to fight since Halo 1.
