Assassination animations are one of the additions to Halo gameplay that I enjoy. However, you all know that the animation comes with a cost. In the heat of battle, I tend to press the melee button a tad too long - essentially trying to hit the opponent harder with my li'l finger - okay - sausage finger. It's happened to the vast majority of players. You go for an insta-kill backsmack and accidentally go into animation that makes you a sitting duck when other enemies are near.

I would very much like to have the option of pressing the melee button again after the assassination animation has started to 'cancel' the animation. This would immediately return control to the player while still getting the kill as if it were an insta-kill backsmack.
