: As someone who didn't really enjoy the game, I was going to post some of the
: more worrying quotes, but I don't want to be 'that guy'...
I think I saw the points you would have brought up. While I agree that those points are risky, it's also an entirely valid perspective and I believe the risk of how it might change the game too much versus the reward of how it might improve the game makes it worthwhile.
What really stood out to me was this comment:
We said, 'What are you like? Bring whatever you have to the studio. Bring the reasons we hired you into our culture, and form it naturally out of your persona, your contributions, and the atmosphere you bring into the studio. I think that's the healthy way to build a culture from scratch.
That's the way any creative team should work. :)
Very interesting, insightful, and heartfelt read for anyone interested in game development or putting together a studio.
