Midwest Geekfest, April 20
By:Clefton Twain
Date: 3/15/13 9:03 am

So, this is partially Halo-related.

An event is being held in Missouri called "Midwest Geekfest". We are a sort of a con...but mostly just inviting a bunch of people to come have fun. We are targeting many different aspects of geeky culture (so to speak): video games, board games, RPGs, comics, art, cosplay.

So onto the Halo-related point. There is going to be a Halo tournament as well as numerous Xboxes (with Halo titles among other games).

The website, http://midwestgeekfest.com, doesn't have a whole lot of info up yet but we're working on it. The best part is: EVERYTHING IS FREE! The only thing anyone should have to pay for is food (there will be snacks but no *real* meals), transportation and, if you're going to stay the night somewhere, lodging.

So, if you're in the area or just feel like a road trip, there ya go. :) We haven't had a ton of time to get this thing up and going, so everything is still in progress. Most of what we need now is people who want to come and hang out.
