hog switching on the way down?

In Response To: Challenge for Frogblast... Bottom of Halo or Bust! (dolbex) some have observed that the death fall is a timed affair -- if you freefall for too long, you die. others have done mid-air banshee switching. this brings up a possible solution to the trick: in co-op mode, obtain two 'hogs, back them both down the ledges to the drop-off, and try to jump from one hog to the other during the fall. it might delay the death of the hog jumper just enough to get quite a ways farther down. personally, i think it's just too far, as my observations of the geometry down there indicate that it is set at two different levels, one quite a bit farther down than the other. but, then again, there are quite a few on this mb who excel at "doin' imposkibul stunts," to quote a famous Max Flesicher creation.
