In Response To: Real-life ballistic armor in the style of Halo? (The Lionheart) : : http://www.ebay.com/itm/Level-3-Dragon-Skin-Body-Armor-ESAPI-Kevlar-XTBAS-ONLY-ONE-LVL-III-NR-/321075229831?pt=US_Costumes&hash=item4ac1933487 : What is this? I don't even... Sooo it's a home made costume, but unlike most of them, this happens to feature actual body armour, using elements from PinnacleArmor's Dragon Skin concept.
PinnacleArmor themselves have had all sorts of bother with certifying the stuff and its been all very controversial, with it failing various tests by the US military and being downgraded from Level III to Level II protection.
Interesting idea, though when we start talking about making actual armour with a Halo design, there are obvious flaws. Like how the stomach is unprotected.
