In Response To: Re: Needs more Nathan Fillion and company... (Grizzlei) : All I remember from Shutdown and Midnight was the fun Broadsword sequence and : the teriible gunfights. Otherwise, I have no desire to reminisce on the : game between Halsey's interview and Didact's dramatic schoolyboy bitch : monologue. Its really a multi-million dollar fan fiction project in every : sense of the world. Not expecting Halo 5 to cure its predecessor's : ailments and that's why I have no excitement or even curiosity about what : comes next. See, I didn't find the Broadsword fun. I think it absolutely could have been as fun as the Sabre in Reach, but they dropped us in a trench, with little room to maneuver, and a billion parts moving around arbitrarily because, I guess, it's "Forerunner", and hardly anything to really do or shoot at. I still don't understand why the Broadsword even has a boost. There's nowhere TO boost. You just run into all sorts of crap. Then we crash land on the Grid and go running off to kill I mentioned it farther down in another thread, but right after I finished the game, I thought I really liked it. It wasn't my favorite Halo, but it was pretty good. The notes I took while I was playing seem to reflect that. However the more I've thought about it, and the more I've played of the campaign... It just hasn't held up at all. I just played through Reach again, and it was like a breath of fresh air. I've got a whole new appreciation for that game.
