Halo X-Box Mod..?

Hi, bought my X-Box two days, maybe three ago (Tuesday.) with Halo, and seeing as how I havent found out deffinatly if it will be on PC or just X-Box and the recent developement of X-Box chips has anyone else thought of what I thought up last night..?

Im getting a version of Halo now, one that works on a normal pc and as far as I know this is legal cos I got an original Halo when I bought my X-Box, if this message isnt allowed please let me know, dont ban me or anything. Anyhow, I was going to get this version that works on normal computers (A backup as Ive heard X-Box DVD discs dont work in computers.), find and extract the textures/models/sounds/skins etc as best I can, burn them to a DVD and play Halo with different weapons/vehicles/skins etc..?

Anyone know if this is already been tried or thought about..? Having only thought about this last night while laying in bed and being at work now I havent even had a chance. Anyhow lemme know please..? :o)
