Visualizing the Halo Universe: Round 4

Visualizing the Halo Universe: An HBO Art Contest Round 4 Remember, feedback on artwork is appreciated and encouraged. We're not looking just to win prizes, but also to start discussion! Additionally, if you have any ideas for future contests, feel free to email them to me at: postmortem@forwarduntodawn.com Last week's submissions can be found here. Apologies that I didn't post the next subject last weekend. We took an extra week off due my need to focus a bit more on school. But now we're back, and this time we'll be tackling a subject that many of you have asked about. I wanted to wait for Halo 4 to come out and for people to explore more of its secrets before making this our subject of focus, but I feel that now is a good time. My introductory post and general rules/guidelines can be found here Subject: Precursor Specifications: - Not really any this time around. Just depict a Precursor. Sources: Cryptum Primordium Secondary Sources: Halo 3 Terminals Details: The Precursors are the oldest race within the Halo universe, rumored to have seeded to Milky Way with life. It is rumored that they created the Forerunners and humanity to take up the Mantle which they held, the Mantle put in place to protect all life in the galaxy. In the Forerunner Trilogy, one of the primary antagonists was the Primordial, which claimed to be the "last Precursor". It swayed Mendicant Bias from his service to the Forerunners, and assisted the Master Builder on Installation 07 before being destroyed by the Didact at the end of Primordium. Depictions of the Primordial can be found all throughout the internet, especially on art websites with a strong fan-art presence. I recommend searching around to see what's out there. More can be read about the Timeless One here. Extra Credit: Depict the Primordial from the Forerunner Trilogy, with the Flood-like conglomeration of bodies seen at the end of Primordium. - - - Can't wait to see what you guys come up with.
