I just can't call those cruisers. The scale in-game was just too far off, which could have been explained as the usual tricks of forced perspective, etc, , but then we see this in the cinematic for Spartan Ops, Episode 1.

The larger ship here, which the Infinity smashes through, seems to be the CSS-class Battlecruiser we've become familiar with ever since the original Halo, and has appeared in every Halo FPS since.

These identical looking, but much, much, much smaller ships seem to be something new entirely.
If they are a very light capital ship, even smaller than a UNSC Frigate, than their vulnerability becomes much easier to accept.
