- Multiplayer is now cast as training simulations for the Spartan IVs (who are never properly introduced) but in that context a lot of the things don't make much sense. While they may still be fun game elements in themselves, they should either rationalise it or drop the silly fictional pretence altogether.

- Regular weapon drops seem to teach SIVs to rely heavily on the Infinity. They're not the independently strong, adaptable, scavenger fighters the SIIs or IIIs were.

- Many loadout pieces don't make sense fictionally. Resupply (pick up dropped grenades) is ridiculous. If an enemy dropped a grenade, why would I need a special armour piece to pick it up? Explosives too (more damage dealt, less received) is one part armour mod, and one part weapon mod - huhwah?

Ordnance Priority has zero use in-universe outside of Infinity simulations (SpOps is proof of this), and doesn't have use outside of Infinity Slayer either as far as I can tell. Gametype specific BS.

How exactly does the Ammo mod let you have a Laser or PP with 150% charge? It's no extra weight or volume, so why don't they 'overcharge' all the weapons of these type? Especially if it's a Laser from an Ordnance drop, how the hell do I magically get two more shots out of it if I pick it up over someone else?

I'm sure there are even more ridiculous ones as reward for the specialisations but I can't remember them right now.

- The UNSC Infinity also seems to have access to a startlingly large resource of Promethean weaponry. How'd they get that? Perhaps one of the first SpOps missions should have been to capture a facility on Requiem that produced these weapons. At least that'd give it some credibility in actually being able to use them in standard loadouts at will.

= Multiplayer Maps and Gametypes =

- Generally MP maps seem to have too many tight corridors and rooms that make it difficult to have interesting encounters in the spaces. Which is odd for a game that has touted fast movement speed, always on sprint etc. Location Bravo in Dominion on Exile is an offender that sticks out: total clusterblam.

- The overall lack of custom game options is massively disappointing. This feels like one of the least customisable Multiplayer Gametype suites since Halo 2. This is not The Halo Way. Not even placated by being able to build our own gametypes in Megalo :(

- New CTF not as great as it was claimed. Same problems as previous versions with new ones added: carriers trying to go rambo with the pistol, thinking they don't need team protection because they can shoot back.

- Infinity Slayer's personal Ordnance drops are too random and this makes it imbalanced. If I'm on Ragnarok, for example, and the other team gets a ammo-mod-upgraded Binary Rifle in a drop, that's 6 free kills and likely another drop after that. But I get a drop and all I get are some Plasma nades (that I already have 2 of), a Needler, and a Speed Boost - I can't compete. Players can achieve the same thing, at the same time, and get wildly different rewards. They need to either tone it down overall and re-introduce respawning on-map weapons, or have some sort uniform scale-up in power on subsequent drops or as they are later in the game. So it feels more fair.

- I want to like Dominion because I think Territories has overlooked potential, but this is so messy. It desperately needs a simplified HUD. The reinforcements for each base often seem too much: running into power weapons all the time. The turrets but especially the shield doors make attacks a nightmare. The scoring needs to be simplified because I still have little idea how many points I get for base capture and re-in: something like 40?

The Last Stand mechanic sucks to be in because all the bases you need to attack are shield-doored up, and overflowing with power weapons, not to mention they'll know exactly where you are! And it sucks to fight against because one second I can have the leg-up and then the next he has magical over-shields. Just allowing the point-pull from 3 simultaneous bases to naturally reach the score limit quickly would be preferable.

Base location choice is abysmal on many maps in locations with too little space and too difficult to attack. Plus the decorations can get in the way of smooth movement.

- Regicide has the exact problem I thought it would: little incentive to be the king apart from these seemingly randomly-awarded Overshields? Anywhere you look at people discussing tactics, they all say to be the 2nd place position and try to snipe the lead late into the match. It's a rather round-about tactic which usurps the spirit of 'may the best man win' in a Slayer-based gametype.
