Visualizing the Halo Universe: An HBO Art Contest
Week 1
Alright folks. Here we go.
Remember, as soon as artwork is submitted to this thread you're encouraged to provide feedback and explain how your vision compares with that of the artist.
My introductory post and general rules/guidelines can be found here
The subject for the following week has been given much thought, and I've decided to test the waters with something a little closer to home in terms of depth within the fiction, for a reason.

Specifications:
- Either the Bornstellar-Didact or the Ur-Didact.
- He may be portrayed with or without armor.
- His face must be visible.
- His basic body form must be visible.
- Adding a secondary figure for scale is a good idea

Details:
When Halo 4 comes out this November, it's reasonable to say with a high amount of certainty that we will be seeing the Didact in one form or another (and maybe even sooner without the press embargo!). Because of this, I've decided to have our first contest be one of the only ones to cover material that will likely be seen at some point in a more official capacity. In this way, when Halo 4 launches we will be able to look back at our various interpretations of this ancient warrior to see how they compare with 343 Industries' vision for the once proud Forerunner general.
The first (and so far only) view we ever had of the Didact was from two shots in Halo Legends: Origins Pt. I where he activates the Halo array surrounded by two other Forerunners. As stated by Frank O'Connor, it's likely that this interpretation is inherently flawed, coming from the mind of a Cortana who is in a rapidly declining mental state. Other than that, our only descriptions of the Didact are from the Forerunner Trilogy. He was first mentioned in the Halo 3 Terminals.
Extra Credit (does not count as an entry in the contest):
Depict the Didact's body as it exists within his Cryptum, either before or during revival.
