If you can't explain something well and elegantly, oftentimes : the best thing to do is to just acknowledge the issue and move on. It's : the entire basis behind lampshade hanging, and it's why Halo 2 introduced : Johnson the way it did. Art-wise, if you can't explain a change 'well and elegantly', it's not a good change, and there is no justification in making it.
