THIS is how we do it - HBO UK LAN?

So Mig has just reminded me.

Guys, guys . . . we haven't had a real HBO UK LAN. Now, I think the IBO Beach Party LANs have provided us the answer to what kind of format we need.

Picture this: A traditional cottage rented somewhere for the weekend. A traditional ye olde English pub somewhere nearby. A traditional brewery keeping a traditional group of SPARTANS well lubricated for the evening.

So this requires a couple of things. Firstly: where? Ross Mills and myself are in Scotland, c0ld is in London. I believe nomis is half way between the two? Whereabouts are the rest of the UKers and where would be the best place to go? I reckon, sometime in late spring (before the English schools are off) we could book a cottage somewhere for a weekend reasonably cheaply. The Lake District is very picturesque and easy to get to with the east coast trainline.

Secondly, who would be willing to put up with a yank/european or two for the days surrounding the LAN? That would involve being a tour guide and playing lots of Halo.

Thirdly, who would actually come/participate in such a thing?

Friends, HBOers, Countrymen. Lend me your ideas.
