So, the 'official' Lockout remake DID exist.

After the TU panel I decided to go say hi to Shishka and asked him a question that wasn't really important in the scope of things, but had been sitting at the back of my mind (and of many other people)

"What happened to Forge World Lockout". We've got most of the pieces of Lockout in the palette right? So why it isn't a disc variant?

Well, apparently it actually did exist! And it wasn't the one shown in the Forge World montage - apparently that was just one made by testers. He said he was working on a meticulous remake of Lockout, down to reproducing all the jumps that he could in the Reach engine, had most of the spawns and everything done. "95%" complete in his words.

Somewhere in between him taking a break and Reach shipping, the map was never finalized and was not included in the shipping selection. The words were "they are sitting on it".

So to iterate:

FW Lockout did exist as an official Bungie variant, made by Shishka
It was not the one from the pre-release FW montage - his version was a super accurate remake.
It was 95% complete
It still apparently exists somewhere
I did not ask where it was on FW. Use your imagination.
