Bungiedayathon 2011 - June 24th 7am-7pm
Posted By: FyreWulff <mkidder@gmail.com>Date: 6/12/11 10:24 p.m.

Yes, I know it's not actually on Bungie Day this year (maybe I should rename it to Bungiefanathon?). There are various reasons and statistics that point to it being better to distance events like these a bit away from the actual day itself. I was also suggested by a certain someone that it'd probably be better to do this a bit further out due to certain Bungie shenanigans for the day itself.

Once again, all proceeds will go directly to the Brian Morden Foundation. I won't handle any of the money myself, I simply am just able to track the amounts and who donated.

As before, this event consists of me marathoning playing Bungie games for a continous amount of time. To preserve my sanity and maximize interest, the marathon is only on one day and spans 12 hours. The entire event will be streamed.

Tentative Schedule of Events

7am - 9am
Oni

9am - 11am
Halo 1 (Heroic Campaign)

11am - 1pm
Halo 2 (Heroic Campaign)

1pm - 2pm
Halo 3 (multiplayer, probably Action Sack oriented)

2pm - 4pm
ODST (campaign, Heroic if solo, Legendary if co-op)

4pm - 7pm
Live attempt at the Cody Miller 150$ bounty for no-deaths-Reach-Legendary run (must be completed in < 3 hours). If I accomplish this feat and the time holds for a month, I will donate a significant portion of that bounty to the BMF. If I die during this run, it will simply continue or I'll switch over to Reach multi and invite audience members :)

More Information

I'll be dropping more information on Thursday or Friday with the site URL and so on. Just thought I'd give a heads up as to the schedule. Donations will officially start to be accepted on Thursday and will close Saturday morning.

Prizes

All donators will recieve a free digital thank-you prize for donating, regardless of the amount they donated.

There will also be random draws for unspecified prizes of various neatness and usefulness and specific prizes for people who donate in certain amounts. I will reveal some but keep others a secret until after the donations have closed.

I need help

While I have a direct capture solution to fall back on, I'd love it if someone could lend me a capture device that would let me stream/play HD so the marathon is a bit nicer to look at. If you can help, send me an email.
