| 5 Day Charity Speedrun Marathon | |

Hi everybody. I'd like to let you all know that I'm going to be participating in SDA's 5 Day Charity Marathon Speedrun this year, taking place in Washington DC from Jan 6th to Jan 11th. This is literally the largest gathering of the best speedrunners you'll ever find, and we all are going to run some of gaming's most popular titles for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Non stop from beginning to end, we will be streaming our runs live over the internet. That's right, this is a live event and we only get one shot here! No matter what type of game you like, you'll be able to tune in and find something of interest. SDA has a schedule of what's to be run posted here. As you can see, I have a pretty brutal schedule, doing Halo, Portal, and MGS 2 nearly back to back to back starting at 7:40pm EST the first day, but I'm awesome like that and it's just how I roll. Each game will be commentated by other runners, which you can turn on or off if you'd rather just watch the run by itself. This is for charity after all, we're not all going to DC just for fun here. We all will be making our way to DC to bring you a live speedrun show with the world record holders of all the games you see on the schedule, and in return we are asking for a donation to the prevent cancer foundation. You may do this through their website which is linked on the SDA marathon page and through their paypal account which is set up specifically to take donations for this event. If you choose to donate directly to them and bypass the special paypal account, which is understandable as some people may not like paypal, be sure to drop me a line letting me know so that your donation can be counted in the final total. Last year over 10 thousand dollars were raised, and I think we can do better this year given the lineup of totally awesome games that's happening this year. If you plan on tuning in, I'd urge you do donate some money. If everybody here gave just 5 bucks, that'd be a ton of money. Happy Holidays.
