I'm at a loss. Not to add to your frustration, but I was on auto-pilot, and it definitely wasn't skill, I just put the reticle on the head, eased forward with the checkpoint, held the trigger, and reverted 69 times. Loaded up the save this morning for the campaign precision challenge & did the same thing (one minute of game time). The game film is a goofy montage of elite stutter-death.
