Heh, my apologies if this has been asked a few times before, but I did a brief search and didn't find anything concrete. Anyways, during a recent XBox rental, me and a buddy did some co-op action (naturally) and decided to record a few pieces of our exploits on The Maw and AotCR. Alone these movies aren't really post-worthy (plus a smite big, even DivX has the average one around 30 megs, but I'm working on the compression problem), but I'd like to collate pieces of them all into a single music video, that will, hopefully, be at least mildly entertaining to watch :)
Anyways, I'm just curious, does anyone have any advice on what kind of video editing software I should use? VirtualDub can handle the music integration into the final product, and I could probably do the splitting up and integration of the various scenes through Windows Movie Maker, but there are some advanced functions that I haven't been able to access, such as text overlays or fade-outs. Any ideas on what decent video software would allow this? Preferably something free.. I haven't checked into Quicktime's editing package for that reason :)
Thanks!
