ODST Sounds for your phone/iDevice
Posted By: Mid7night <pakrat961@yahoo.com>Date: 8/7/10 11:40 p.m.

I just recently jailbroke my iPhone, primarily because I wanted to customize my SMS tone (which you can't for some reason....grrr), but then I decided "why stop there?" ! So I went into ODST, recorded a few minutes of different stuff (mostly UI sounds), then I tweaked and remixed the sounds in Garageband to get 'em sounding right. The end result is 12 custom sounds for your phone and/or jailbroke iDevice.

Here, give 'em a listen (in parentheses is what I use 'em for on my iPhone) :

1. Optican (alarm)

2. SwishClick (lock iDevice)

3. KaChing (unlock iDevice)

4. Loading done (mail-sent)

5. Super sounds 1 (new mail)

6. ClickClick 1 (received message in chat)

7. ClickClick 2 (send message in chat)

8. Vergil Out (received SMS option 4)

9. Vergil In (received SMS option 5)

10. Super sounds 2 (received SMS option 6 - this is the one I use)

11. Click 3 (keyboard click sound)

12. Super sounds 3 (voicemail)

So if you want to customize your own phone's sounds, there ya go....unless you have an iPhone/iPodTouch/iPad....then you need to jailbreak first.

If you're a member of the iDevice crowd, I've got a special ZIP file for you.

ODST iDevice Sound Files

It's not that hard...All you have to do is jailbreak your device (go to jailbreakme.com), then do a quick search on how to SFTP audio files to your iPhone (again, it's pretty simple, if you've gotten this far already). Then copy the contents of "ODST_Sounds" into the appropriate folder on your iDevice (make sure you back-up the originals, just in case). Then just restart your device and you should be set.

Anyway, I hope I didn't confuse everyone too much. ;-) Hope you enjoy your custom Halo UI sounds!
