We have all seen the strange circular logos posted all over Halo, right? The marks underground on 343GS, the marks on gold elites' backs, the marks for Red/Blue base in MP, etc. While going through some papers yesterday I found a paper with these printed on the right-hand side:

Look familiar? I thought so too. There is a Symbol 6 but it's not up because of EXTREMELY poor quality. Guess what page all these symbols came from? =) A Dungeons & Dragon Combat Sheet!!! If you want you can "see" the sixth image, it's on the combat sheet link. I think, but am not positive, that the sheet came from the D&D Starter Box. Maybe we put too much thought into what they symbols mean. Maybe Bungie just like D&D! Or vice-verse! =) Anyways it was suggested that there was a font similar to this and that both Bungie and WotC (Wizards of the Coast) just happened to see it and use it for their product. There is always the undeniable possibility that's it's just a coincidence. Anways I just thought everyone would like to see this. I would also like to thank Louis Wu for helping me very much with this post! You're awesome!
If someone wanted see if any of the images above are an EXACT match to any in Halo, I would like to see how that turns out.
