The whole point of the clan is to find more people to playon XBL, I'm not so sure that being in the clan would even benefit you. :\

So, now that I'm a member, how does being in the clan "benefit" me? I accepted the invite (thanks, by the way) and then the thought occured to me: "Uh, now what?" Smile

Hmm, that seemed awefully ungrateful.

Your part of the HBO Community now, you can take place in clan games, arranged tournaments and your clan is now Halo-famous world wide!

Oh, no, totally not ungrateful. I'm just a - how I've come to hate this word - n00b when it comes to XBL. I don't know how to go about playing with people. Like, do I take the initiative or will people invite me to things? Are there clan games or BTB games? Not ungrateful, just confused and frightened. Smile

Ah ok. Sorry about that. Its just so many people pass these forums being complete idiots. Glad to hear your not one.

Ok, well you'll have to ask KP to be certain, but I think the Spartans are like the Helljumpers (minus the spam). When you see Spartans play online, ask for an invite (if they dont give you one already), introduce yourself, and i'm sure you'll be friends in no time.
Normally in a party of 4 you'll be playing Skirmish, Slayer or any of the other playlists, depending on what the majority want to play. Whilst other times you'll play BTB or Major clan. It all depends on what everyone wants to do.

Most importantly, have fun. Thats what its all about. Send me a friend request and i'll introduce you to some Helljumpers, maybe we could do some Big team battle. Thats always a laugh.

Welcome to the HBO Clan. I hope you enjoy your stay Very Happy

Ah, don't worry about that sort of thing. HBO guys are a friendly bunch of people to play with. Just ask for an invite and 98% of the time an invite will be sent.

And Se7en, I highly doubt the Spartans do Major Clanmatchs very often. We've done 2 in the last 2 months. Just not enough people on, unfortunatly.

Thanks, guys. Friendly players are the very people I've been looking to meet. Like I said, I'm constantly running into the most ridiculous idiots on there. But I tend to play a lot of Rumble Pit and the team-based playlists, so I'd love to play with any of you guys. I'm usually up for almost anything.

Se7en One, I assume your board name is your gamertag? I'll send you a friend thingy tomorrow.

Hmm, you say theres not enought people on, but the Helljumpers have half the amounto of people and there are more than likely at least 4 people on live at any given time.

Are there any people that dont play or are inactive? Maybe boot them for active players? Or maybe the Spartans are completly different to the HJs and I have it all wrong?

We do have alot of inactive members, I'm sure I've said it before. We do have some active members, just not alot of them. And as it seems, though some active Spartans are part of the clan, they're not part of the community, if you can see what I'm trying to say. It is alot more fun to play with guys from the HBO community, I always have a blast playing with them, it's the greatest experience I've had while playing Halo 2,

Boot them for active players? In order for that to work we would need a supply of people to replace them. (Perhaps its time to start recruting) Also I suspect the helljumper have far more "active players" then the spartans.

There aren't as many inactive players as you might think. A lot of them are community members I'm not willing to boot, as well. I can take a look at the list of members and look at who's active and who's not, but I don't see what purpose it would serve, at this point. I'd just be booting them for not playing and that's not really fair to do unless it's serving some ends. If we were hard up for space in the clan it'd be justifiable, but we're not at all. If it comes to that, I'll face that decision then but until then I'm not going to boot a player that could potentially return as an even cooler guy at some point down the line.
