<  General  ~  Weekly IBO games?

So the people in the #hbo chatroom on irc://irc.bungie.org would like to gather for a game weekly, for which I believe there is enough interest. I've selected Thursday as a pretty neutral day, before the weekend so it shouldn't conflict with any weekend activities but after the mid-point of the week. I'm putting a poll up anyways, to see which day is best for most people, we'll see where to go with it from there. As for the time, well it's tough to say. I'm guessing around 9pm EST or so, includes 4 timezones, excludes the helljumpers, but they have daily games anyways so they won't miss a thing.

Discuss.

Would these be organised competitive games? Or just a gathering of people to have some fun? Frankly I think it's a great idea both ways.

This wasn't specifically targeted at the clans to begin with, but the irc network, specifically the users of its #hbo channel. The vast majority of the users on the network and especially #hbo are American. Also, as I said, you guys play every day. This is designed to bolster activity and a greater sense of community within the network through the most common of our bonds, at of course the most convenient of times for everyone. And you guys sure as hell don't need more activity. Razz

Perhaps we can have two, Thursday at 9pm EST and then one on Saturday at something like 2pm EST. The problem is that I have enough trouble motivating people to get out of bed on Saturday for a competitive event, god forbid it's just cutoms. The long and short of it is that you guys need to fix your damn clocks.

Sure did go well. Count me in next week. I'll be there again... but I'm starting to think that once intrest is raised people will get shafted... parties can only hold 16 players.

Even though I could only be there for the first few games, I really enjoyed it. Except, you know, what with dogchow being a dick and ruining songs I love. Jerk.
